Bell Canada and Starbucks Coffee Canada have announced a new Wi-Fi service that will allow Starbucks customers to access e-mail or the Internet while in one of the company-operated coffeehouses across Canada. The service will feature high-speed connectivity, a uniform log-in process, and the ability to bill usage to regular monthly carrier statements or a credit card.
The new service will be initially introduced at coffeehouses in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The companies also plan to add wireless hotspots to more than 400 Canadian Starbucks locations within the next year.
