"I have been in a position where I have had to travel quite a bit for business over the past number of years, and on a recent trip to Hong Kong it really struck me how much easier that travel has become thanks to some great new software. Technology has always played a key role in helping to stay connected while traveling, but it has never been as easy (or as cheap) as it is today thanks to some great free software, a Windows Mobile device, and the rampant availability of Wi-Fi hotspots everywhere you go. Here is a quick tour through the free software that helped make my last trip feel like I was never really that far from home."
