Samsung has unveiled a 1.98-inch VGA display, making it the smallest such display to achieve VGA resolution.
"Samsung presented its 1.98-inch VGA a-Si LCD at IMID 2006. This LCD panel employs Samsung's proprietary 'ASG (Armorphous Silicon Gate)' technology, thereby maximizing the efficiency of LCD design and module process as well as offering 16,000,000 color and high speed data transmission."
This is an interesting development as this technology would allow for devices such as Smartphones to achieve VGA resolution, something that currently is only seen in the larger Pocket PC phone format.
