"Pocket PC phones will be in the hands of about 120 Wake Forest University students this fall as the university begins what may be the nation's first pilot program to explore potential campus uses for the latest in converged mobile technology.
The pilot program, called MobileU, will explore the ways students are already communicating and find out if one mobile device can meet their needs and enhance academic and student life."
This sounds very interesting. They go on to discuss a GPS application that will track the University shuttle, as well as a program to check whether the washers and dryers are available in the campus laundry room. Click the link below to read the full article.

I stumbled across www.podscope.com, a podcast search engine web site. The site actually indexes the text of podcasts using voice recognition software, and then allows you to perform a search on any term that you may be interested in. The best part is that when the search results are returned, you are able to listen to the clips of that podcast that matched the search term you specified, without ever leaving the search page.

It looks like the new Ipaq 6510 & 6515 will be offered through Cingular in the US. This is not a huge surprise as the devices support EDGE high speed data transfer, and Cingular is currently the only US provider offering an EDGE network.
"Although this wireless carrier has not yet officially confirmed that it intends to offer these models, it recently made it clear that it will begin doing so in the near future. Cingular is now offering rebates on many of its mobile phones and smartphones. Listed on the rebate form are both the iPAQ hw6510 and the iPAQ hw6515."
