According to some recent comments made by the President of the mobile division at Motorola, and reported by Brighthand, the Moto Q could be selling for as little as $50 by the end of this year.

Ron Garriques boldly predicted that if the Moto Q stays as popular as it has been at since the official launch, it is likely that carriers will be able to bring the subsidized price of the devices down to as low as $50.

This would be a similar situation to what has gone on recently with the Motorola Razr. The only problem being by the time the price comes down you no longer want one, since everybody else has already has it. Click the link below to read the full article.

This is the second article I have read questioning Motorola's decision to run the Smartphone edition of Windows Mobile on the Motorola Q, instead of the full fledged Pocket PC edition.

While all reviews I have read on the hardware have been extremely positive, I think that the lack of a touch screen, combined with limiting the overall functionality of the operating system is a decision that Motorola may live to regret.

It seems to me that if the Smartphone edition of Windows Mobile had meant to be used with a "qwerty" style keyboard, then it would not have been named "Windows Mobile for Smartphones."
